Initial Consultation
An on-site consultation to discuss your gardening needs. We're a small, family business so our consultations will always have that personal touch.
Tell us what you would like your garden to be and how you want to use it
Discuss new landscaping and design ideas
Where possible, Identify the plants that are currently in the garden
Recommendations for plants that suit your garden's soil type, each border's aspect and the colour and structural choice
Gardening tips and advice
The first meeting is so important as it allows us to learn about your garden and practical requirements, as well as your personal style preferences. We can get a feel for the space and check the soil condition before we start any design work.
Garden Design
Example of a 2D Garden Design Plan. All plans are to scale.
Our full garden design service includes:
A garden survey and scaled survey plan (we can use your plans if available)
We have a small team of designers with a wide set of experience and skills to provide artistically created designs that are both achievable and practical
Based on your requirements recorded during the initial consultation, we create and mutually agree on the best design for your garden, drawn on a scaled schematic plan (see the list of available plan types)
The design concept is presented to you along with mood board slides including images to assist concept visualisation and planting ideas.
Everything is present to you online and we provide digital copies
Your new garden plan will be drawn to scale and will show your garden layout once the work is completed. It can be used for DIY projects or to get cost estimates from your chosen landscaper. However, we'd love to help you manage the entire project to see this plan through to the finished result. Chat to us about our design and buiild packages if you don't already have a landscaper in mind.
3D Garden Visualisation
Levels and scale can be particularly difficult to imagine from a flat plan. 3D visualisation images and videos are able to bring the design of your new garden to life. Our talented designers can create 3d images and tailored walkthrough videos to help you visualise levels and angles, how colours and textures work together, and see how light travels through the garden, both during daytime and at night.
This garden design packs so much into a relatively small, triangular space. The garden incorporates a courtyard with water feature, lounge seating area, outdoor dining area and a hot tub zone with shower.
The lawn, beautifully planted borders and features make this a garden designed for entertainment and relaxation, day and night.
Planting
Full planting plans can be provided with monthly care instructions for your gardener.
Let’s face it, you can’t have a garden without plants, so planting is key to our designs and one of the areas we get most passionate about! With over 25 years horticultural experience and several RHS medals, Jan has the expert touch.
Depending on your needs and budget, we can provide planting recommendations in any form from a simple buying list, to a full planting plan with an online database of plants and monthly care instructions. We also provide plant audits, plant sourcing and on-site planting services.
Tree choice is seldom straight forward, in fact it is extremely easy to plant the wrong tree in the wrong position and mistakes can be expensive. Our tree selection advisory service can help you to avoid the common mistakes and save you money as well.
Landscaping
As part of our full design and build service, we provide project management to keep the landscaping to the design. Along with skilled and friendly landscapers we bring your dream garden to life.
We would be happy to provide a quote once you are satisfied with the garden design.
Gardens and Plants… bringing gardens to life and on budget.
Regenerative Gardening
Does gardening do more harm than good to the planet? Many clever people think so and it is hardly surprising when you consider the pressure we gardeners come under from the media and product suppliers. Put simply: We over fertilise, kill too many creatures, use too much water, move stuff too far and it all comes wrapped up in unwanted packaging. This doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, which is why Regenerative Gardening is becoming so popular.
The idea is to do less and let nature do the rest, (with a little nudge here and there). The result is healthier soil which leads to healthy plants, more of those wonderful creatures and, believe it or not, less unwanted plants.
Other benefits of Regenerative Gardening techniques include: Carbon sequestration, water retention, less work and lower costs.
So why not reverse your gardening’s impact on the planet. If you would like a healthy garden, more biodiversity at less all round cost then try Regenerative Gardening.
